MORE ABOUT GEOCACHING If you have stumbled on to this page by accident, you may be wondering what geocaching is all about. In its simplest form, a "geocache" is a container hidden somewhere in the world by someone who posts the exact latitude and longitude of the location on the internet. Others then use GPS devices to locate the geocache. It sounds easy but it often is not, because caches can be cleverly hidden, or they might be placed in a location that is not very easy to reach. The Hudson River Geotrail, when completed, will be a string of geocaches hidden along the length of the Hudson River.
